new home network with Defender

I'm about to buy a new pc to network with my current system. Can I run a copy
of Defender on both pc's? If so, do updates distribute onto both
automatically?

The same question applies to Windows Automatic Updates (I know this isn't
the forum, but you might have the info). Will auto updates distribute onto
both pc's?
