New graphics Card....worth it or not?

My current system is Athlon 1200, 512Mb Ram, GeForce 2 GTS & Win2k. I'm wondering if it is worth buying a GeForce 4 TI 4200 128Mb graphics card. Will I see a great improvement in games & benchmark tests or will my processor speed limit the improvements the graphics card make?

I plan to build a complete new system in about 4 months anyway, but I will still use my current PC for network games. Will the £150 for a GeForce 4 card be worth it?

Welcome molinari

NO! Your CPU will not affect the overall performance.

Pop over here for a Card Comparison and see for yourself.

Good luck with your next build. :D

Sorry for any confusion ... the no was that your 1.2 will not hinder any performance of the graphics card ...

and YES ... go get one. :D
