network property sheets

HI,

When I click on properties of my NIC I get
the following message.

"The controls on this property sheet are disabled because
one or more other network property sheets are already
open. To use these controls, close all these property
sheets and then reopen this one"

Where do I find the other property sheets to close them?
Also it looks like an extra WAN adapter installed but I
cannot uninstall. It says required for boot up. How can I
uninstall it. I checked this against a good 2000 system so
I know that only one should be installed.

Go to Device Manager and turn on Show Hidden Devices. Try to uninstall all
LAN-cards.
Another thing you might try is open up a commandprompt and type:
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
Then go back to Device manager, turn on Show hidden devices, and delete the
dimmed devices in network adapters.

no such luck. I keep getting the same error. any other
advice?

no luck what's left reformat reinstall? I keep getting a
#2 after the adapter, I've also checked the registry. no
luck. I can't uninstall the WAN miniport #2 either.
