Need to Remove Microsoft AntiSpyware - Not Norton Internet Security 2005 compati

I was getting a runfaxin.exe error which I believe is
tied to Norton's firewall because it loads when Norton is
not enabled. I have many other computers and I know
microsofts antispyware progrom works with norton's but it
may because I updated Norton to 2005 Internet securicty
after installing microsoft antispyware program.

There tech support told me that I needed to remove all my
antispyware programs (spyblaster, adaware, search &
destroy, etc). He told me that I did not need them and
they were causing my conflict.

Well, now I have removed all the antisypware programs
except Microsoft's. It just stops responding in the
removal prossess. I have tried to install and uninstall
but keeps stopping on the uninstall process of gathering
information (after 15-30min). I need to uninstall and
need to do it manually or someother method.

Have you tried posting your problems
not related to MS AntiSpyware to

I would haved asked the technician who advised you to
remove all your anti-spyware programs what his
qualifications are. After receiving this kind of advise I
would keep my anti-spyware programs (the ones you have
are excellent) and remove Norton. Get AVG-7. It's free
and is an excellent anti-virus program.

I've had no trouble whatsoever with Norton System Works
2005 with Norton AV and Norton Firewall and MSAS.
However, I hope they meant doing uninstalls of your
spyware programs just so you could reinstall the Norton
programs, and also disconnecting from the internet while
you did it. If the tech said you don't need anti-spyware
programs period, then I hope you didn't have to pay for
the advice.
