Hi, hope someone can help me. Every time I restart my computer I get this
error message:
Error loading C:\Windows\System32\NvCpl.dll
The specifed module could not be found

I have Ad-aware, and Spybot on my system already. Any help would be
appreciated!!! Thanks!

That find is related to your Nvidia video card. I would suggest downloading
and installing the latest driver for your model.

That UPDATE button just looks onto your HARD DRIVE for a newer VERSION,
If you have not Downloaded a NEWER version From NAVIDA then it will
not find a NEW ONE

you can also Go to Windows update Site

And When it ask u if you want EXPRESS DONNOT CHOOSE it. Scroll Down
And Choose Custom Then after it searches Look to The left window
payne and and u will see a listing for new Drivers.. If it Gives a
Nimber Click on it and it will show u The New Drivers For your computer
.... But Most People Recommend that you DONNOT use those Drivers , But
to Go to The manufature of Your Hardwares Website and Get The Driver
From THERE

Anymore ideas as to what I can do do get rid of this error

Ok, I can't seem to find/understand how to update this driver. The version I
have is:
NVIDIA RIVA TNT
I don't know what else to do, I went to nvida's site, saw where to download
drivers, but I don't see mine listed. What excatly will this error do? I
don't notice anything, the only reason I'm tring to fix it is because I have
some sort of spyware or something that I can't get rid of. thanks for your
help!!--Steve

If you ran the install from the file you downloaded to update the drivers
perhaps you need to uninstall the drivers completely restart the PC and let
XP start-up with standard VGA drivers, then run the install again. The file
reference you are getting is the control panel icon for NVIDIA it appears to
be unable to find the control panel file. Is there a icon in control panel
for NVIDIA??? if so does it do anything if you double click it. You can also
have a look in the C:\windows\system32\ folder and see if the file is there.
There is an entry in the registry "run" command as follows:
NvCplDaemon "RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup" I assume
this is what is trying to load and giving you the error.

Hope this is useful info but you may still need to uninstall the drivers
completely first and then try again with a fresh install.
