does anyone know the purpose of the file $ncsp$.inf ??
It seems to be linked to TCP/IP and I belive that some of
the values in it it may have been changed on my computer
due to a virus or spyware/adware. I could not acccess
the Local area network until I finaly removed that
specific file (it was not infected with a virus).
The contents are:
[params.ms_tcpip_Adapter01]
DefaultGateway=""
DefaultGatewayMetric=""
DNSDomain=""
DHCP="no"
IPAddress=0.0.0.0
DNSServerSearchOrder=""
IpAllowedProtocols=0
SubnetMask=0.0.0.0
TcpAllowedPorts=0
UdpAllowedPorts=0
DisableDynamicUpdate="yes"
EnableAdapterDomainNameRegistration="no"
WINSServerList=""
NetBIOSOptions="0"
the path is C:\WINDOWS\system32
I am running XP SP1 Pro .. this file is not on every XP
system, but seems to be on most XP home systems.
Thanks
