name resolution

Hello there,
I have AD domain using DNS and have name resolution issues, not
finding shares on a remote subnet.
What is the name resolution order in W2K3 domains, is the Lmhosts file
still used or only if I am using Wins?
How can I make one of my remote subnet computers a backup broswser for
the domain?

Hello Tester,

Belongs the remote subnet to the same domain?

Are the remote machines registered correct in the DNS forward/reverse lookup
zones?

Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the DC/DNS server and a problem
machine from the remote subnet.
