My keyboard is set to american!! I need it putting back to UK!!

Hi I recently had a 'major problem' with my computer which meant I have to
wipe everything and use my rescue discs. everything is working great again,
except I pressed the united states language button, which would generally be
fine but I can no longer get the pound sign anf the @ symbol is where the
pound sign should be. this is getting very frustrated, Please can anyone help
me?

Hi

Control Panel>Regional and Language Options. Make sure that all three tabs
and sub menus are set to the same Language - English (United Kingdom).
