I have been using a disk to save my excel files. When I put my disk in and
clicked to open the a: drive - I got a message that said my disk may not be
formatted or may be formatted for MacIntosh. What happened to my files and
is there any way to get them back?

DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECOVER THIS YOURSELF!!!!!!!

it has been my experience that all you will accomplish is overwriting any
recoverable data and forever losing your work. don't let your friend/lover/geek
friend attempt it. instead, assuming you want to actually recover the data, take
it to a disk recovery specialist in your area. It won't be cheap, but it will be
recovered, assuming it hasn't been destroyed yet. If it is recovered in hex only
format you will then need to recover the spreadsheet, I suggest you use excelfix
(if your in a jam and get this far I could attempt it for you, assuming you send
me the file), if you can get to that point. Also check for a virus, particularly
NYB family, it does nasty things to floppies, just like what you describe. If
you do a boot seek to your floppy when booting up (boot sequence a,c) change
that immediately to avoid the seek of a, all you need is one infected floppy (a
friends photo) at the seek and you have the virus. It causes exactly whatyou
describe. It's all cost benefit analysis at this point, I hope you recover your
work.

the bathtub with your monitor, the short circuit caused the following to
