Thanks for your assistance.

Thanks for your assistance.
Dennis Davis said:Phil,
Check the startup folder under your user profile as well as the all users
profile. To open an explorer window to your user profile do the following:
1. Open Start Menu
2. Click on 'Run...' start menu item
3. type -' %userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup' and then click OK
button
You should see an explorer window appear. Check to see what is in this
folder. If you have an shortcut to My Computer in here it will get launched
when you logon. You should all check the all users profile startup folder
as well.
1. Open Start Menu
2. Click on 'Run...' start menu item
3. type -' %allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup' and then click
OK button
Let me know what you find,

Thanks for your answer. Typing the strokes you indicated told me that my
documents could not be found. However I went to each of the indicated
folders, opened the appropriate folders and did not find a short cut to My
Computer in either of them.
Any other ideas?
