Music plays silent in background

I have made presentations in 2003, but with 2007, the sound plays in the
background. When I right-click and it opens the dropdown menu during the
show, the music then plays, and is in the middle of the track. I have tried
bringing the icon to front, expanded the max imbedded file size, tried play
on click, play automatically, delays, different presentations and different
music tracks. Any suggestions?

Are you saying that the music doesn't play in 2003, but does in 2007? When
you inserted the music file did you select "on click" or "automatically"?
Which type of music file are you trying to insert?
