Multiple Desk Top Icons

Almost all the desk top icons now have up to 7 short cuts on the desk top. I have run a virus scan and have found no problems. Any help or explination would be apreciated, thank you.

If I understand you correctly, you have multiple shortcuts on the desktop
for desktop objects that already exist. Try adjusting your mouse settings
in Control Panel or the mouse software. It sounds like you are moving the
mouse just a bit when double clicking and the operating system is reading
this as a drag and drop (which creates a new shortcut or a copy) instead of
seeing it as a double click.

Very strange, Brian. You could try deleting the duplicates (remember to
check the All Users' desktop folder as well). Also suggest running chkdsk
to sort out any possible problems that may be brewing in that department.
