mstsc /console switch

Hi,

Our Computer Operations team will require access to our DC's which act as
File & Print via Remote Desktop. They are members of the Server Operators
group. At the moment, a standard Remote Desktop connection provides them with
sufficient access.

However, we would like them to use the mstsc /console switch but when used
they are unable to logon.

Any reasons why?

What os are your DC´s?
the /console option aren´t supported on Winodws 2000.

So what happens when they try? Any error message?
Can they log on at the physical console of the server?

Yes, the error message they receive is "You do not have access to logon to
this session"
They can logon to the physical console, as they are members of the Server
Operators group.

They are a member of the following

Builtin Server Operators group

They have these rights:

Allow logon through terminal services
Log on Locally

If they become members of the domain admins, they can logon....

Then maybe the Administrator account is already logged on to the
console?
You can only have one console connection at a time. And only
Administrators can throw out the existing connection.
