MSIE won't connect to wireless network

I installed Windows Defender and it found several viruses but said "cannot
remove" on all of them. Then it recommended disk defreg which I did, but at
95% complete it stopped, so I hit cancel and rebooted.
Now, although my computer has a strong connection to my wireless network
MSIE says "page not found" and Outlook shows an error when trying to connect,
"no connection detected". If I use Repair, it goes through the process and
reconnects without any problems, but MSIE and Outlook still won't open
anything.

I'm sorry it was the "Windows Live Safety Center" that I used and now I'm
having problems. I'll repost to that group.

If you are on XP, SP2, a quick thing to try is:

at a command prompt:

netsh winsock reset

and hit enter.

You may need to reboot as well.
