Moving From Novell LDAP (NLDAP) To Active Directory LDAP

My organization is trying very hard to turn down long-established NDS architectures, and part of that is transitioning a rather comprehensive NLDAP authentication structure to Active Directory LDAP. We use both secure and non-secure LDAP logins, validating against certificates in the case of S-LDAP. Are there any white papers out there I can check out, or does anyone here have any practical experience? Is there even a migration path for this
