I have Windows 2000 (SP2, I think) installed on a IBM Thinkpad 600E (366 MHz
Pentium II w/128 Meg memory and 6 Gb Hard drive). I use a Logitech USB mouse
for it pretty often.
Problem is, the pointer is prone at times to completely disappearing.
Sometimes it jumps up to the left corner. Other times it's just flat-out
GONE and can take nearly 30 seconds or so to show up. I can wiggle the mouse
all I want--or the trackball--and it STILL won't reappear.
I haven't used the built-in pointer long enough to know if it does it
without the external mouse or not.
Is this likely a flaw of the mouse--something which updating the mouse
drivers would fix? Any other tips?
