Mouse&Keyboard no longer work, can't login

Upgraded from win98 and when I restarted PC, I'm unable to
log in as neither keyboard or mouse work, even in safe
mode. I believe that the APCI is no longer in the
registry (when first upgrading a quick flash msg appeared
re: APCI), however, I can only use keyboard in Dos-mode.
Using F8 and selecing "last good configuration" does not
work either. Checked CMOS settings and all seems OK,
correct bios version is installed. Help! Thanks

Try swapping the ps/2 ports with the mouse and keyboard. I havea few Dell
machines which will not recognize the M$ ergonomic keyboards unless I swap
the mouse and keyboard ports.
