Missing Desktop Icons Missing

Mother-In-Law stumped me...
After downloading the security patch for the worm,
whenever she reboots, she gets a desktop with no icons or
menu bar. She currently has Black Ice for her firewall
and disabled it during download...any ideas how to fix?

Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down to
Item No. 195 (right column), click on "Restore Desktop Icons and Taskbar".

Install the registry fix, then reboot your computer.
