Migration of Generic Text Printer Driver from WinNt to Winxp/2003

Sushil

Hi

Im running Oracle Report writer. Have been running these
reports under Windows NT With the Driver configured as
Generic Text Only Driver for Epson and Alis printers as I
print only characters.

Of Late when some of the clients the os was setup as XP ,
when i use Generic Text all the alignment goes wrong. The
same thing is happenning on Windows 2003 server. Im
running citrix on win 2003 and there also when i use
Generic Text , the aligment goes wrong.

I had faced the same problem on Win 2000 Clients. There I
choose the generic text driver as NT or WIn 2000 which
had solved the Problem . But on 2003 , it does not
support NT drivers.

Has anyone faced this problem and found a solution.
Please let me know. I have over 600 report , which I will
have to redraw all over again if i dont find a solution

Thanx

Sushil

Hi Sushil,

Do you feel that, there is problem with Inbox drivers
also ?, ( Most of the OS has support for Generic Text only
driver as in box driver)

Cant we install NT drivers on 2003 ?
Check secpol.msc there may be some policy set for Kernel
mode drivers.
