Migrate one W2K domain into another W2K domain

Bill Burke

Hello,

I have a need to migrate one W2K domain into another W2K domain using the
Microsoft ADMT tool. I am running into several problems and am wondering if
anyone knows of a step by step process/procedure/white paper?

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Bill Burke

Bill:

You'll want to make sure to post Domain related questions to the
Microsoft.public.win2000.active-directory group as the people who frequent
there will be much more involved with domain migrations than us here in the
OS setup group.

There are articles that address the issue however they may not be exactly
what you'll need.

326480 How to Use Active Directory Migration Tool Version 2 to Migrate from
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=326480

260871 HOW TO: Set Up ADMT for Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 Migration
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=260871

There are a bunch of other articles but they are written from the point of
view of "you run ADMT and you get <blah> for an error"

Post this question in the Active Directory group and you'll get the answers
you need Bill.
