Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!

Hi,

I am using hp officejet 6100 series for Windows 98, 2000,
ME, XP on a hp pavilion zd7168cl digital media Lap Top.

When I go and click on Start, then My Pictures folder it
opens up the HP Image Zone, then after clicking on a
couple of different photos it tells me I have an error
and askes me to send error report to Microsoft, which I
do. Then program closes down. Then if I go and just try
to open from the folder I get this message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE
Abnormal Program termination

I have ran a virus scan, ran Ad Ware, made sure all
windows updates are current, even did a system restore
from a previous date, but nothing has fixed the problem.
The only other two things that I can think of doing is to
renstall my Windows Operating system, or (HOPEFULLY NOT)
have to do a quick restore on the computer.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Lori

I don't have a fix for you but I'm just wondering if
you have eFax Messenger Plus installed?

Have you recently installed/uninstalled/updated
any software that might coincide with this issue?

Have you tried HP Support?

problem, and it did not.....I will post my question at
the HP Support Forum.....thanks.
