Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x80040107) when Send an

Hi,

we have this problem when using cached mode with exchange 2003 we get the
error message in office 2003:

Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x80040107) : Could not open
the item. Try again

Exchange Server Ver: 6.5 (Build 7226.6: Service Pack 1)
Office Ver: Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6408) SP1
Wndows XP: Ver 2002 SP 2

When using cached mode only the folder tree appears not a single mail. We
can run a non cached mode but that is not an alternative for laptop users!

1. I´ve tried to reinstall office, didn´t work
2. Create a new XP user profile, didn´t work

There must be a solution for this, need assistant!

I had the same problem and what seemed to fix it for me was to
-export all the data to .pst file
-delete the mailbox in system manager or adcu using exchange tasks
-recreate the mailbox for the user.
-import the .pst file

so far things are looking good

ok so after you reimport your .pst file and it saves it back to the exchange server. You might get an error that outlook is recovery mode. You'll have to delete your outlook client profile and recreate it. Then if you run in cached mode it should work correctly
