Microsoft Client Protection has been found

After completing all dialogs to install Windows Defender (v1.1.1593), I get
an error message that tells me that 'Microsoft Client Protection' has been
found.

I have no other AV software installed, only Microsoft Security Essentials. I
have removed ESET NOD32 after my license ran out, and I have cleaned out my
system using Microsoft's OneCare live scan.

My system is running Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack
3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208-2036)

This message is badly worded--and, in fact, it is Microsoft Security
Essentials that it is speaking of.

Microsoft Security Essentials incorporates the protection features of
Windows Defender, so adding Windows Defender is unneccessary, and in fact,
counter-productive.

On XP, uninstall Windows Defender. On Vista or Windows 7, the Microsoft
Security Essentials install process should disable Windows Defender.
