computer to get rid of it. Once it starts doing registry
keys thats when it freezes.

Hi

Try this:
Download CCleaner and install:
http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144_4-10361793.html?tag=lst-0-1

- Reboot in safe mode, press F8 during reboot/restart

- Start CCleaner, this program cleans all your temporarily
folders
where a lot of junk hides.

- Scan with MSAS twice, choose deepscan.

- Restart in normal mode

- If your fault remains follow this.

.> I've had three previous mysterious shutdowns of MS AntiSpyware which I've
had
since it's debut, the fourths was today. (03-05-05) The 1st. three
appeared
after restarting the PC after being shut down for the night. The icon
(bullseye) would be missing from the startup-bar (clock side) and the
antispyware was disabled. This would cont. until the program was removed
and
then reinstalled.
Today was a new twist, the icons on the startup-bar & startup page were
present. When I tried to run a scan the antispyware would reach the point
of
saying, "scan is processing" and then freeze at that point. I tried to use
the help features, those also were disabled. After trying several
different
approaches (except removing & reinstalling) I callled MS Security
helpline.
The helpful tech had me go into the safe mode, to no avail, the program
was
corrupted. She spoke with her manager and found out this is a fairly new
issue. An outside source was indeed targeting the new program. After
letting
them know of the problem I removed and then reinstalled the antispyware.
For
now it's working, but tomorrow is another day. Has anyone else experienced
this problem? Our feedback might mean a speedier fix.
Thanks, Harold
