Microsoft Access and Scanning

R

Rudy Sagers

Is there a scanning application (i.e. capture program)
that is able to scan information from a typewritten list
directly into an Access database and create a record? Any
help in this regard would be very helpful.
Thanks Much......

The Kodak ActiveX Scan control which was distributed with Office 97 worked
nicely in Access, but alas, it is no longer available as part of Office.

There are several ActiveX controls which may do the job, but you'll need to
contact their respective publishers to make sure they work in Access. I use
IrfanView, a free utility, but I shell out to it, it doesn't work inside of
Access.
