Micro ATX motherboard fit in any ATX case?

Just wanted to make sure before I ordered one for someone I know.
Do all the screw holes and outlets all line up with standard ATX
cases? I assume so but want to make sure.

Yes, but some older OEM ATX cases were fairly shallow, designed to
accomodate ATX boards that only used 2 of the 3 horizontal mounting studs
in a row so in such cases the bottom optical drive or two might not fit...
that is an atypical situation but still occurs often enough to mention.

In general, you'd want to use a case at least 17" deep or a little more if
the front bezel is thick, more than 2" out of that 17".
