Message in event viewer.

I recently installed Windows defender Beta 2. Each time I start the computer
there is a comment line in Event Viewer:system,as follows:
WinDefend found possible malware and references ISLNDIS5.sys.
I can't find anything harmful there, is this significant?

that is not a normal driver, has nothing do with Microsoft broadband- at
least nowhere in Microsoft, this is mentioned. who is the vendor of this
ISLNDIS5.sys?

Is that form you NIC or other trusted vendor?

I would also scan for spyware with something like AdAware SE and try another
malware detection and removal program such as the free Sysclean from Trend
Micro available at the link below and you will also have to download the
latest pattern file from them. Sysclean is nice in that you do not install
it but just run it from a folder that also contains the pattern file. You
also could submit that file to the email in the link at
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html . --- Steve
