Meeting planner in Outlook Calendar

Marcus

My user is having intermittent problems with Outlook calendar. The problem
starts when they try to book meeting rooms in the calendar. Sometimes on the
far left side; when they click to view a meeting room to make a booking it
won't appear. Apparently this Outlook calendar is shared across our network
for others to view & also make bookings.

It is an intermittent issue & I've reset the user profile which I thought
had fixed it, until the user tried to look at a certain meeting room on the
calendar & it failed to show the bookings. Another PC nearby used for the
same purpose doesn't appear to have this problem.

I was thinking about copying the profile Outlook file from there & just
adding it to this other PC. The only error message that appears to come up is
noting that there is a system error & that the file cannot be found. If the
user exits Outlook & starts it up again then after a few tries it comes up ok.

Any suggestions? Thanks PS

a new profile might help but copying profiles between machine can create
problems unless the machines are 100% identical.

are you using exchange server or sharing a pst? Sharing a pst across
networks in not supported. Only one instance of outlook can access the pst
at a time.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the input. Our users email accounts are managed on an exchange
server, if that sounds right.

I haven't tried to copy the other profile from the other PC yet. Both are
the same machines. Might try the other profile today.

This problem started after we upgraded both PCs but only 1 of them seem to
have this issue.

Anyone else out there with a suggestion? Thanks, Marcus
