Mass deploy Windows XP

Hello

I am selling a box with Windows XP and some specialist hardware. I do not
want to have to go through the rigmarole of installing Windows XP every time
I ship a new system. With the XP activation issue how can I somehow copy a
master image onto each new PC. I don't mind then just entering the XP codes
to licence the PC.

Has anyone done this sort of thing? any pointers to what I should be
looking at would be much appreciated?

Updating an Existing OPKTools Distribution Share to Windows XP Service Pack 2

Obtain the correct language(s) of the service pack from the links above

Make a temporary directory on your technician machine to hold the contents
of the Windows XP CD. (Note: This can be the original Windows XP OEM Product
CD without Service Pack 1a, the original 2600 version or the SP1 or the SP1a
version of Windows XP.)
For this example, we'll call the folder c:\xppro.

md c:\xppro

Copy the entire CD - not just the i386 directory - to this folder. In our
example, we assume that the CD-ROM drive is drive D. From a command prompt,
type:
xcopy d:\*.* c:\xppro\*.* /e /v

Navigate, while at the command prompt, to the folder where you copied the
xpsp2.exe file and type the following command

you may need to sign up / register before gaining access, but it's
definitely the place to find all the help and answers.
