The marquee tag is a deprecated tag, under the latest standards
(www.w3c.org), so it's best not to use it.

I've always had difficulty with this term. In the UK, a marquee is a
very large tent. It must be a US/UK language thing!

Kinda tough to deprecate a tag that was never part of standard HTML - like
<blink> is also not, nor ever was, a part of standard HTML.

I was referring to the jerkey part. Jerky, in the US anyway, is dried meat.
In the old days, the sun was used to dry it :>)
