Mapping A Network Printer To A LPT Port & Renaming A Printer

Is there any way to capture printer ports in Win XP? It doesn't seem to be a
feature in XP. I used to be able to Win 98.

Or at the very least I would like to be able to rename the printer. I have a
printer that is on a server. It is using an XP print driver. If I right
click the printer to rename it I see no rename option in the list.
