Manually clear the "DIRTY" Flag? Chkdsk runs every time I boot in

I have a laptop that for the past couple weeks, every time I boot up the
computer it runs CHKDSK. It only runs the quick version (1 - 3). When I get
into Windows, it still thinks the drive id "Dirty" so the next time I reboot
it does it again.

I even manually set it to run the full CHKDSK (1 - 5) and it didn't help.

Once it comes up everything seems to be working jsut fine. Is there any way
to manually disable the Dirty Flag so this thing stops running chkdsk every
time the PC is booted?

I do let it run all the way thorugh every time. It never finds anything.
Has no bad sectors. But still doesn't clear the flag so it runs again every
time.
