Manual format of inbox message VBA code

I would like to know how I can manually format an Outlook message sitting in my inbox view with a macro/VBA code or alternate method.

I would like to highlight an email in my inbox, with a key stroke have it change to Red color, bold, change font, flag for review.

Sort of how you can setup auto rules to format incoming messages with specific condintions.
