mail alert sound and anykind of way of being alerted mail for outlook 2003

Hi,
How can I be alerted that I rec'd mail in outlook 2003
via sound when a new mssg is there or visually. If
visually something that stays there a long time.

right-click on the icon Outlook icon in the system tray and select "Show
new Mail Desktop Alert".
you can control how long it is visible.
You can also get a new mail envelope in the system and a popup.
