Hi,

I just updated Windows XP through the MS update site. Suddenly, Outlook (2003) stopped checking email automatically, even with the "Schedule an automatic send/receive every 1 minutes" checked.

Also, the lower right corner says "Offline" as does the Outlook icon in the task bar.

Any help will be appreciated.

Win XP SP2, IE 7. Office 2003, all new updates.

Erik.

Put Outlook back online by unchecking File-> Work Offline

Set your Send/Receive interval to at least 5 minutes. If you have more than 1 account configured set it to at least 10 minutes. Otherwise you could end up continuously polling your ISP and get/send duplicate emails as a result.
