Lost Password After Repair

A salesmans laptop (Dell Inspiron 5000) was having
problems shutting down randomly. He brought it to me at
which point I couldn't even get it to boot up. I booted
from the Win 2k cd and did a repair on the system. The
unit will now boot up but none of the passwords for the
accounts work. Have tried leaving the password blank and
a number of passwords I have used in the past. Any ideas?

Can you login using the built-in admin account?

If it's a removable drive it would be a good idea to install it as a slave
on another machine and make a back-up of everything of value.
