Lost 'news' in the Go command list in Outlook 2k3

I recently upgraded to Office 2k3. When configuring
Outlook, I noticed the Newsgroups were not available as
they were in Outlook 2k.
I followed the directions to set up News as per Outlook
2k3's help file, but apparently did something wrong. Now
the News option in the Go command list is no longer
there!
I've searched the other command lists, thinking I may
have dropped it in an incorrect directory, and I've reset
every toolbar option I could find.
Short of a full uninstall/reinstall, does anyone have any
ideas on how to restore the News command back to the Go
customization list?

Thanks for your time.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

You may need to reset the Menu Bar and/or restart Outlook and/or reboot your
machine in order to complete the process. Not everyone is reporting success
with this method, but try it and see what happens. If all else fails, you
can always create a desktop shortcut to Outlook Express and include the
/outnews switch -- that gives you the same result as accessing the
newsreader via the News command in Outlook.
