Logo gone blue?

At the risk of sounding extremely silly, can I ask why the Microsoft
AntiSpyware icon in my sys tray has changed from orange, yellow and blue to
blue, cyan and blue.
Does it mean it's no longer working...or it is just cold??

The current thinking is that it means you have used Remote Desktop or
Terminal Services to remotely connect to your desktop.

Does that sound like it applies, in your case?

Sorry, that sounds much too technical for me! As far as I was aware, I had
done nothing different or unusual. But it was back to normal this morning,
so I remain curious! Thanks for your reply anyhow.

Surprisingly, sometimes, Windows XP system tray icons
change. Their colors get inverted (red becomes blue and
blue becomes red). This might be because you are using
Fast User Switching (or any another Terminal Services-
related function, such as Remote Desktop Connection).
This change has no special meaning and should not have
any impact on your computer's performance.

Thanks for mentioning Fast User Switching. That's probably a good
explanation for this one.

It is nothing to worry about, at any rate.

Do you have multiple users on your computer, and do you switch between them?

I do have multiple users, which is as painful a complaint as it sounds. They
used to be kids, but now they are multiple users, amongst other things. And
now they've made my logo turn blue. I blame their mother.
They switch because they're too lazy to log off.
But I promise not to worry about it. Thanks again.

Better the icon is blue, rather than you!

That'd explain the situation which'll make the technical folks at Microsoft
happy, anyway. May also explain why I haven't seen it yet. My kids and
spouse have accounts on this machine, but they can very seldom get near it,
so this hasn't been tested yet.

Just wanted to pass on that I too noticed my MS AntiSpyware Icon turning from red to blue. Red seems to be the predominant color with blue lasting only 5-10 days per month.

Right now I do have terminal services enabled for remote desktop sharing and I do have my wife switching over to her account once in a while. However, even before enabling terminal services it was happening so I guess we'll have to settle for the Fast User Switching theory.

It is a theory right? Has any one confirmed this?

Doesn't matter too much anywho - my bet is that that will be fixed in the full release.
