Logarithmic X-axis...

....

Is it possible to create a chart where the scale of the x-
axis is logarithmic but the scale of the y-axis is linear.

I have Excel 2000 - it doesn't allow this.

Thanks for your help.

Sure. Create and X-Y (Scatter) chart, right click on the desired axis
and select "Format Axis", check "Logarithmic scale" on the Scale tab.

Dear Mark,

I would be interested in seeing the answers to your
question also as this is something that I would like to
do. Would you be kind enough to forward any answers that
offer solutions this problem?

Many thanks,
Doug

I thought this question was answered pretty well the first time around. To
quote Jerry Lewis, "Create an X-Y (Scatter) chart, right click on the
desired axis and select "Format Axis", check "Logarithmic scale" on the
Scale tab."

If that answer wasn't sufficient, please post back and I'm sure you'll get
further help. This is something I do frequently -- I created several such
charts yesterday.
