I mean, if I didn't like 10 would I be able to go back to 7 and keep the upgrade to 10 on a disk for a later date?

Seems 8 was so bad they're having to give 10 away for free, lol

When the time comes I'll back up 7 via Acronis True Image to some external storage and try Win 10.

And if I dislike it as much as I did 8 / 8.1 / Classic Shell then it will go the same way...

But, I really rather hope they may just get it right this time.

so far, I see Windows phone on a PC ...

I see nothing, not a thing, for a PC gamer ... oh wait, DX12 ... do you have the hardware? some games can't/won't use DX11 yet!

DirectX 12 will not be supported by Windows 7.

I will probably do the same as Master Boot Stomp and clone/backup/copy my drive and give Win10 a try, hey, it's going to be FREE!

Free is good . I think this alone will get people starting to upgrade. I could be quite happy with Windows 7 for some time to come, as will a lot of other people - but this should make a dent in that.
