Line Chart - Pivot Chart - Show empty cells as Gaps

I have a query, shown in pivotchart view. It tracks loan volume throughout
the year. The table is updated monthly. My issue the pivotchart shows empty
cells (or months with no volume yet - like November 2009) and shows a sharp
decline in the line chart from October to November, then tracks zero throught
the remainder of the year. I want to show show those empty cells (months
with no volume) as "gaps", similiar to graphs in excel. Any ideas?
