SO FRUSTRATED- HAVE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO ESTABLISH SOUND SO WE CAN USE THE
TALK FACILITY WITH THE WEBCAM BUT CAN'T GET THE VOLUME TO WORK. Have even
replaced for a new one and am still,having the same problem. Please someone
out there help ,have tested everything ,and each time am told the mike test
has failed. Would welcome all suggestions Thank you ,

Try this,

Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio > (Audio Tab)

and set "Sound Recording" to your camera device
