My left mouse button will not work on my XP Home Desktop.

I have to right click and OPEN

It works on all other icons i.e. when in all programs.

Is there a setting that got set by mistake i.e accessibility options?

Thx

I have just got my computer back from PC world from it's annual health
check. There was nothing wrong with it when it left, but now the left
mouse button doesn't work. I've switched the left and right buttons
over so now the right mouse button is the primary button. But I am
looking for a permanent solution other than taking it back to PC world
so they can destroy it some more.

Any suggestions?

Yes

Do two things

1) re-install the mouse > System Hardware and Uninstall - re start you
computer (it will come back)
2) Now - go into mouse properties and adjust the speed (using the folder
there) until it opens and closes too your liking.

IT SHOULD NOW BE OK.
