Label printing exceeds area of label, why

Using Labels in Word, I type an address in a standard Avery label ( 6x3 )
Times New Roman 14 Bold. But when it prints, it prints partley on the above
label area, even if I move the text to the lowest row. I have checked the
printer set up ( Laser A4 ). I am new to Word, but I had no problems in Word
Pro.

Probably a problem with the paper feed mechanism on the printer. What
happens if you do the print on plain paper? Is the text then aligned
properly with the labels on the sheet?

I thank you very much for your reply, but I have used a plain sheet for many
tries and I hold it up to a light behind a Label sheet and it never sits
correctly (as on screen ) in the Label area. Cheers, J Hartley

Hello Doug, Thinking about your suggestion again, I checked my setup in the
print file and you are nearly right, because I discovered that Page size had
Defulted to Letter instead of A4. I have tried my checking method and it is
now perfect. Many thaks again. J Hartley.
