Very well said and I agree whole heartedly. Much rather have a real
factory rep helping in the ng than some nut case idiot troll who
couldn't find his own ass even if allowed to use both hands!

Isn't this web sight about the Kodak printer? Get off your high horse

It's stupid to chew out a person that is helping people out on a web
sight specifically for that printer, with problems they are having
with it, when he has first hand information of what to do. Does he
think it's better asking people who have little or no experience with
it? Some times you have to wonder how people think. He must be fairly
new or he would know how hard it is to get information from many of
these PC and printer makers.

Yeah...he's demonstrated for months and many times, that he's actually

Maybe your horse is so high that you cannot breathe. There are about
500 different vendors who are in the printer business in one form or
another. If each one of them did what Kodak is doing .... well that
is why this is not a commercial group.

I don't care how many are in the vending business. This is a Kodak
printer sight and it is a whole new product. The man knows how it
works and how to fix things on it. If someone has a problem with it,
people should be happy he is here to help fix it. It's obvious that
none of us are fimiliar with it.

I might see your point if he was a vendor for H.P or Brother, etc. and
wanted you to buy something else, but he's not. He is one of the
designers for Kodak and is on a Kodak sight helping people. Cool
your jets and let the guy help. That's what these sights are for.

You might as well save your breath as that moron can't comprehend
anything you're saying.
He is so stuck-on-stupid it isn't even funny.
He's a nut case that has been in this ng for many months now and no one
gives a shit what he says.
He's nothing but a bandwidth sucking jackass.

I too bought a 5100 the other day and love it but started off ok with scan button or scan software working fine now I have the same issue with the twaingui error.

I updated the firmware and all was working so not related to that. Any help ?

I may return this and try a 5300 but think this is more software/OS realted than anything.

okay an update. I completely removed the software and even went into the registry and removed any last items.

Now the scan button on the printer works again but i get the following error after it compeltes scanning:

PAINT (the application)
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\-i.bmp was not found

Ron if you are still on this forum, please help

Sure enough if I browse to my documents I see it's created a subfolder with todays date (default option) but nothing in it. Almost like this is trying to create a temp in Windows\system32 but can't
