Kindle Fire HD

Hi
hope I am in the correct forum for this!
I have on my android phone WikiPock encyclopedia which works well but with a small screen it is a little difficult.
I know have a tablet as mentioned above.
I still have the Wikipock downloaded on my desktop.
I want to copy these files to the tablet but I am not sure which folder on the tablet to drop the files into documents, books ect.
I have asked on more tablet orientated forums with no luck.

Does a Kindle recognise Android-based apps and software?

As I understand it Kindle is pretty much an independent hardware/software device but I really don't know, sorry.

The wikipock web site says the kindle fire hd will work with wikipock.
