I'm having a thick moment.
My XP machine has suddenly started opening Media Player when ever I hit shift + P. I haven't set this to be so and I can't remember how to do it or remove the shortcut.

The actual shortcut for launching Media Player is shift+ALT+p. Is it possible one of your ALT keys is stuck? Try pressing them a few times to 'un' stick them, then try shift+P again. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Problem solved though. It had something to do with the way I had settings in a virtual machine..
