I need a way of keeping GTalk in the foreground BY DEFAULT. Autopin tab in Options of Deskpins seems to offer what I need, but I've been unable to get it to work for me. I have used 'Window-on-top' and 'Always-on-top', but their effect only lasts till a reboot. Maybe some code can be copied from NetMeter - because it is a program that stays in the foreground from the moment it is launched.

The registry tweak that adds a 'pin' to all GTalk windows, is in fact quite adequate. Clicking on the 'slanted' pin makes it appear 'vertical' and then 'on top' is achieved. HOWEVER - it can autodisappear as a result of an unknown trigger. When that happens, it can be restored, but only if GTalk is first COMPLETELY closed (from the systray or Task Manager). It's then a matter of running the 'showpin.reg' yet again.
