Joining NT4Server to Active Directory Domain Problem

HI,

I have an old server with Winsows NT4, SP5 installed on
it. It was used for a workgroup. We have created a domain
based netnork with windows 2000 and active directory. Some
application on this server still needed. I am trying to
join this server to the domian but it says domian not
available. Netlogon Services cannot start, not even
manually and it says that this computer was configured as
a member of a workgroup so Netlogon service is not
required. Any help is greatly appreciated.
