Are Access2000 and Access2003 using the same Jet Engine version (3.6) or

darn, sorry; my mistake, it's of course v4 (I was thinking of DAO360.dll)

My question remains, what's the differens from A2000 to A2003 when it comes
to Jet-Engine version ???

It is my understanding there are no differences as 2000/2002/2003 use the
same Jet version, 2002 and 2003 use Access 2000 file format (I know that
this is not Jet) but should give an indication that there is no difference
under hood at a data level.

JET2.x Access 2.0
JET3.x Access 95/97
JET4.x Access 2000/2002/2003

Access 2000, 2002 (XP), and 2003 all use the same version of Jet, if you've
kept up with the Jet service packs. If not, you should. There are
differences in the programs, mostly interface enhancements and a few new VBA
functions in each newer version. Access 2003 introduced the macro security
that has been in Word and Excel for a while and requires Jet 4 SP 8 or
higher. Also, Access 2003 will only install and run on NT 5.0 or newer (i.e.
Win2K, WinXP, Win2003 Server).
